Education & digital skills

Building the foundation for the next generation.

HAKF's education programs support children, students and adults at different stages of their educational journey — and together they create a pathway from early education to digital skills and future employment.

Pre-primary center

• Pre-primary educationFive centers are currently operational, serving a budgeted enrolment of 376 children. The program includes trained teachers, a finalised curriculum, learning materials, nutrition support and digital education.
• Learning centersClasses for Grades V–VIII, with additional centers being established in Mirpur and Mohammadpur.
• ScholarshipsCurrently supporting 30 students with academic guidance, career counselling, computer training and regular motivation sessions.
• Adult literacyThe Adult Literacy Center has 50 registered learners, working toward a target of 120 participants.
• IT trainingOur IT Center in Adamjee is operational, with 24 students enrolled in basic computer training and additional batches planned.

Women's skills & empowerment

Turning skills into livelihoods.

HAKF is developing vocational programs that help women gain practical skills and create opportunities for employment and income generation.

Our goal is to move beyond training and connect skills with real economic opportunity.

• Industrial sewing centerA target capacity of 90 women, with training being introduced in stages. Employment opportunities are being explored for graduates.
• Domestic sewing centerA target capacity of 40 women, with 20 currently enrolled. We are strengthening training quality and developing routes for participants to turn their skills into income.

Family economic empowerment

Creating pathways to sustainable income.

Education and vocational training are most meaningful when they lead to sustainable livelihoods. HAKF is developing additional programs to help families become economically independent.

These initiatives are being developed carefully, with appropriate screening, training and support to ensure the opportunities are sustainable.

Community outreach

Expanding the vision

From individual programs to a complete pathway.

HAKF is now working to bring its programs together as part of the Vision 2040 strategy. The next phase focuses on selected camps where education, skills training, empowerment, legal support and economic opportunities work together as a full community model.

We are also building stronger data management, monitoring, community engagement and collaboration with other NGOs to increase the impact of these programs.
